As no completed petitions were received by the deadline, other than by the incumbents, there will not be a District election. Patricia Gainsforth, Division #2, and Robert Morrow, Division #5, will continue in office for three year terms beginning January 2, 2009.
The Board of Director’s positions for Divisions 2 and 5 will terminate on January 1, 2009. The positions are three-year terms, beginning January 2, 2009, and ending January 3, 2012. Any qualified elector (you must own property in the division for which you are running) from a division may run for the position in that division. If you wish to run for a position you must pick up a petition and a list of qualified electors at the District office no sooner than August 25, 2008. Completed petitions are to be returned between the dates of August 25, 2008, through October 3, 2008. The petition must have at least ten signatures of qualified electors. If more than one candidate applies in a division an election will be held.on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. A newsletter will then be sent to the electors in that division, with complete information on the requirements to vote.
